Kathy & Serge, together inside the Coliseum in Rome. What an amazing place. What amazing people who designed and constructed them huge buildings.

The entrance to the Coliseum, showing the part of the arena where both the outer wall and inner wall are still intact.  The blocks of marble and stone were removed by later rulers and in most part used to build the St Peter’s Basilica.

As was the protocol of the time, Julius Caesar was cremated on this spot inside the Roman Forum.
